The project was a proposal for an underground workshop facility within the existing Tanami Gold Mine. The underground workshop facility consisted of multiple bays fitted out to allow for basic maintenance of the existing underground mining fleet. The Wilshaw Engineering scope of work comprised of the civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, communications and data works within the underground excavations which formed the workshop facility. Further responsibilities of Wilshaw included the following:

  • Providing the proposal for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) works.
  • Providing all resources necessary to complete the management, design, engineering, drafting, documentation, procurement, supervision and administration required for the scope of works.
  • Providing full project management for all contractor resources that were required for the Project.
