The project consisted of PT NHM installing a new ventilation system as part of the extension to the K2 Shaft. It was proposed that the existing K1 Shaft fan installation was to be relocated to the K2 Shaft. This installation consisted of two fans, each driven by new 400kW Teco 690V motors, associated power, control and monitoring equipment. Wilshaw was responsible for the engineering design to permit the re-use of the existing K1 Vent Fan at the K2 location. The scope of work for Wilshaw included following:

Detailed engineering design and drafting of the Fresh Air Rise plenum.
Detailed engineering design and drafting of the fan support structure combining air foil technology.
Civil design for the Vent Fan footings.
Work methodology and procedure.
